Huh? If he hits a speeder 757 high with lots of backspin he'll break a blue board in half. Try 80 something gram whiteboard. Or if it were a blue board it'd have to be a heavy x flex. That is if the speeder he has is the one I had. Mine said tour spec and was a friggin monster.

They retain a good bit of energy. I am going to try to hit one in a shorter driver with a 440 head, but my xhot will stay 47" until I learn more about the joy of long shafts.

The Blueboard is an amazing shaft, lots if feel and perfect launch for me.

Mine was a tour spec, I was thinking they all were. It was by no means medium launch. Low bullet maker. On the other hand, the two blueboards I had, albeit lighter ones, were balloony for me.

There's a new speeder 757 out. That may be the specs he's seeing. The original 757 speeder was low launch and spin. It was very popular on tour. Traditionally the blueboard was considered a fairway shaft for higher spin players. There have been several versions of it as well and maybe they have changed it as well.

I played a grafalloy blue for awhile, the original one. That was STOUT.

Picked up a new Cobra BioCell driver w/ the PX shaft. Dick's came out with a early Fathers Day sale this morning. The e-mail said it was good on line or in the store. Ran over to our local Dick's. (Man, I dislike dealing with kids who are complete idiots... but...) The BioCells had been marked down to $199. Today's sale was 25% off that. Had a couple of old clubs to trade in. Also had a couple coupons and they used both. Walked out with the BioCell, a new Lamkin mid-size grip, including state sales tax for $90.38. Now, it'll be next weekend before I get a chance to hit it. The R1 has been performing quite well. Don't know if it will replace the R1 or not. Seems like the latest models of Cobra drivers have a cult following.

The 905r I just won has an 83g Blueboard. I'm freaking pumped! The 905r is my all time fav as is the Blueboard.

So freakin disappointed. Took the 905 out for a spin yesterday and I hit mostly low screaming hooks. Tweaked grip, stance and posture even tried to hit a massive slice and all I got was low screaming hooks.

So back to the drawing board.

Edit: I thought you meant the last post on the message board where you had considered both the BioCell and the Covert 2.0. Glad you're hitting the R1 great. The last couple of times I have been out, mine has been working also. Just need something as backup....
