Obviously you've never fought a 20lb chinook before. It's awesome. I'll put hours and hours of time in just to feel that hit and have that fight.

It's been a long time since I've been out on a boat fishing, but damn I wish the next time was with you! All my boat time has been 3-10 miles off the NC shore. Inland best I've ever landed is decent sized lake bass.

Lake Michigan baby. I've actually never got one from a boat either. I've only fished from shore. The chins, coho, browns, and steelhead/rainbows stage all around our marinas around here prior to heading upstream in the Root River (and others) for spawning. I generally just cast spoons with medium action rods and 20lb braid. You'll never feel that train slam your line when trolling.

"Boring" depends on how you do it. By yourself at some pond somewhere, yeah I can see that.

Trolling for blues, king or spanish mackeral off the coast in a boat with a couple buddies and some beer makes for a great day!

One day, I'd love to go fly fishing for trout in a stream/river just to try it. I'd have to be with someone who knew how as I've done very little fly fishing in my life. But, I think it would be great to try it!

Lots of fly fishing up here. That is an art!

Just bought these today. Haven't played a ****ed pair of shoes for ages but the courses around here are getting pretty wet so need a bit of extra grip.

Read good things and they seem a bit more stylish than the more traditional ****ed golf shoes. (Bound to upset a few of you old ones here lol).

Yeah that's where I'm hoping I'll be ok. Had to order off eBay. Most people said to order half a size down also.
Time will tell I guess.

Size is right on for me, but the sport & countour are a better shape for my foot. I got the sports with the belief that they'll be in better shape this time next year. The contour was actually the most comfy.

I got a pair of contours a year ago. I liked them so much I bought another pair a couple of weeks ago and am just sitting on them until my current ones give out

True, but you can enjoy a good fight with a 25-40 pound king with nothing around you but water when you're trolling. I'm not much of a fisherman anymore due to just not doing it, but I'm pretty sure we'd have a frickin' blast fishing together!
