I did some work for a client, and he offered me a set of Miura CB301 irons in exchange to offset some of the bill. I'm building them as a back up set to my TC 201. I'm using the same shafts, steel fiber i95s. If you have the opportunity to hit some Miuras, DO IT! they are amazing.
Let's see 'em! Miuras are beautiful clubs!

I just bought Ping G430 three and five metal woods. I'd been playing Callaway Paradym fairways but really wasn't happy with them. I play a Ping G425 driver and love it. So I thought, why not give their fairways a try. I demoed both of the G430s and they performed pretty well. I play tomorrow, so that's the true test.
Let us know how you get along. I despise my Callaway Rogue fairways and will be shopping for replacements once back to the game.

They didn't work as I had hoped. I like them when I demoed them but they weren't that great on the course. I may have learned an expensive lesson. Since I had traded the Callaways I put my old Taylormade 2017 M2s in the bag and really hit them well. They're eight years old but I have confidence in them so they're staying in the bag for now.
10.5° (which I'll dial down to 9.75°) TM Qi10 with X-Stiff Diamana White Kai'Li from Global Golf is on its way for my right-handed bag.

UPDATE: I gave the Ping G430s another try and they are starting to perform better. I guess I just had to get comfortable with them. I'm still not 100% with them but when I swing well they are really great. It's a process.
That's the way I've been with the G425's. In and out of the bag, trading places with the Eye 2's. I've been playing so bad, though, can't blame any clubs!!!
This thing is a weapon. So much more consistent than any other right-handed driver I've hit. Very happy with this purchase.

I see you're writing about your irons. My post is about Ping G430 three and five fairway metals. Still I get what you're saying changing is very difficult. I'm always amazed that Tour players seem to change clubs every year. I know they have contracts and their clubs are made to their personal specs. However, we occasionally see players going back to a previous model. Rory went back to last year's Taylormade driver. Of course, he learned it was so worn on the face it's no longer conforming to the rules for spring like effect.
Hang in there with the G425 irons. You will eventually become as comfortable as you are with the Eye 2s.

One more question, Limpalong. I played Ping Eye2s for several years. I made my only hole-in-one back in 1998 with the Eye2 five iron. The lofts on the Eye2s are much weaker than today's clubs. The G425 five iron loft is 23.5* while the Eye2 five is 28.5*. My guess is this has been a major adjustment for you. I've often thought of going back to my Eye2s but I'm afraid adjusting to the loft differences would be really difficult. How are you dealing with that as you work to make the change.
There is a significant difference in loft between the Eye 2's and the more modern lofted clubs. You just have to keep in your mind a 1 club difference. At least that's what I do.
Going through some physical issues the past couple months and have lost significant distance. So, I bounce back and forth between the clubs just sorta trying to advance the ball. The 425's will go back in the bag tomorrow. Eye 2's have spent about a week out of the basement.
