    Im a big ebay fan myself. I do real well buying clubs with overly stiff shafts and reselling the x shafts then reshafting the heads my way.

    I actually would encourage you to find used clubmaking equipment on ebay first as the golf clubs come in a never ending stream over time.
    Its really rewarding walletwise..

    Nice! That's what I do! I bought a $70 "economy" shaft puller from Golfworks or Golfsmith a few years back and it has paid for itself 10 fold. Sometimes I buy a club just to split up and sell for profit.

    Helps cover my ho'ing expense.

    I made mine with a twelve dollar bottle jack and an aluminum cable turnbuckle. but i already had a vice in my shop. 300 bucks for a new one. I saved 1000% or something...

    Yeah, I have heard if home made shaft pullers but have never tried one. I pull maybe 3-4 shafts per week and this cheap one has served me well. All I have had to do is add some WD-40 very so often. Maybe if this one ever craps out I will do the homemade route.
