I took a little trip to Seattle over the holiday, and got to play a round of golf. There was about a 2000' difference in elevation from Boise. Needless to say, I spent a good portion of the round re-learning my club distances. Is there a general rule of thumb as to how to estimate the distance change? It almost seems (for me) that for every 1000' I dropped in elevation, that equaled 1 extra club. Sound right?
