ORLANDO, Fla. – World No. 2 Jordan Spieth will defend his 2016 title this week at the Australian Open. He’ll be joined in the field by the top-ranked Australian in the world, Jason Day. The Australian Open also is the first event of the 2018 Open Qualifying Series, where three players will earn invitations to the 147th Open at Carnoustie. The European Tour will kick off its 2017-18 season at the UBS Hong Kong Open, as Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia headline the field.
