.... I said I'd film myself hitting left and right handed next time I went to the range and to be honest I surprised myself seeing as it has been almost 10 years since I even tried to hit a ball LH'ed. The sad thing is that it makes my RH swing look crap because I over think everything.

Anyway good luck actually viewing the clip on that dire putfile site but I don't know of any other good sites that I can put it on.

Cheers, a couple of my mates said that my lefty swing was more natural and simpler than my normal swing which seems crazy to me but having seen it I'm almost inclined to agree. I hit a few with a 3 wood which to be honest only went 200-210 at best and they all had a fade to them. I hit a five iron off the deck which was actually much better, only 10 yards less than my RH 5 iron. I'm starting to think I might have been a much better player if I had played LH from day one

Amazing. I can't even begin to comprehend being able to do that. I'm a natural lefty, and play righty. I too wonder what the difference would have been if I had learned the game lefty. But try it now? HAH! I would need an empty range, and definitely no walls from which the "ess word I will not speak" could bounce.

I'm a Right-Hander and have tried some lefty shots but, frankly, I looked more like a drunken woodsman hacking at a tree root than a "golfer"


Question for anyone... Is it true that Tiger started out as a Lefty and then switched to right-handed play?

What was odd was that i struck the 5 iron off the deck consistently better than I hit the 3 wood off a tee. I quite like the look of my LH swing but it felt so bizarre that I don't think I could ever imagine shaping a shot with a real purpose, even the 5 iron had a fade to it which got bigger with the 3 wood. The LH swing gave me a significantly lower ball flight, in fact:

LH = Low fade
RH = high draw
??????

Go to Google, sign up for a Google account. They have a video section where you can put up videos of any size for free. The only downside is that they have to approve every one before it becomes available. That can take a day or two. But in this age of internet scumbags, I'm certainly willing to wait in order to keep the porn away from the kids.
