I was playing with my family the other day. We were out some time so to keep things moving we played off the ladies tees on a few holes. We came to the 14th, a 320 yards down wind on a flat hole. I nailed it low and hard right on the sweet spot. We played up and low and behold my ball was ~10 yards short of the green. The flag was at the front so I only had about 25 ft to the hole. A simple 2 putt birdie. It was wasted on my wife and younger two, but my older boy (13) was quite impressed. He got it, the Colossus of a father he has!

OK, OK, I need to put this in context. The previous hole, a 360 yard par was into the wind. I hit a solid drive and 6 iron, figure my drive was about 220 yards. Wind was probably ~20mph. So when we turned and I had that behind me. The ground is also links terrain so I figure I had ~50 yards of run. I also hit it on the perfect line to max out my run. Having said that, in all the time I have been playing I have never been that far up, so it was a combination of factors. Hell I'm taking it!

IG, if I blast one like you've described usually I will follow up with a 2 foot "chunk".

Nice drive!! Hit 'em while you're still a young flat-belly. The best part of the story is you were enjoying the game with your family. Neat story!!!!
