My latest experience with sssmokin's employer. I sent him my 905R very carefully packaged in a "triangular" shaped golf club box so that his friend at work could re-shaft it for me. I also included a new DD golf pride grip, a new aluminum 905R "sleeve" and sleeve pulling tool. I sent this a week ago on Saturday morning at 9:00 am "priority mail" and insured it for it's value. They say 2-3 days. It only has to go 150 miles. It's been 8 days so far. Here's a copy of the complaint I filed. As sssmokin said "another satisfied customer".... :real angry:

We both figure a Milwaukee postal worker has got a tee time to try out his new driver.... (and I did "reply" to Anna) :(

I sent a package (golf club in box) Saturday at 9:00 am from Waterford to Wautoma (Wisconsin) 100 miles away) PRIORITY MAIL! It's now Thursday and it isn't there yet!! Why charge for priority mail if there is no such thing? The label number for the insurance was VH57XXXXXXUS. The Bill number was 1000202XXXXX6. The clerk number was 08. This was paid with transaction number 23 9032XXXXX2. My brother works for the Oshkosh PO and can't believe this has not yet been delivered. If it's disappeared I'll need $300 from you (insured value) since it was a $400 golf club.

That's a real shame :( my priority mail stuff always gets to the midwest or the south in 2 days. I love the good ol' USPS. I think you're right, the postal worker could smell the ho through that triangular box.

... newman!

well lets say it is lost.. that means you get $300 back, and 905R's are going on ebay for ~100-125 now.. get one in nice condition, and get the shaft you want in it without any pulling or anything like that.. that means that you are making money..

i know that it is more the principle of the thing, and having to wait a while for a check to be issued, and to buy a new driver.. but you are making money..

just be glad that you insured it.. :)

You can't file a claim for 21 days. WTF? And I'm not making much money. I had a new aluminum sleeve and sleeve pulling tool in the box worth about $30 and a new grip worth about another $7 and they won't necessarily pay the insured value. You have to show proof of purchase, blah blah blah and I am not a happy camper. :real angry:

Maybe they hate you?
I always get my items from USPS in 3 days or less. When I bought some clubs off of EZ they came in 3 days.

wbl,
I am going through a similar situation. I won an auction for a Nike Storm Fit rain suit on eBay last Sunday. The seller notified me that it was shipped on Monday through USPS. I felt sure I would get it Wednesday or Thursday, since it is only coming from Jacksonville, FL (330 miles). As of Friday's mail delivery, it is still among the missing.

I really don't need it until my trip to Scotland in September, so I'm not in panic mode yet. However, if it turns out to be lost, that 21 day period will end while I am in Scotland.

By contrast, I ordered some goodies from TGW on Wednesday and the UPS man dropped it at the house today (Friday). It was shipped UPS ground from Wichita, KS.

A form letter like the one from Anna would probably piss me off more than the loss of the package. :real angry:

21 DAYS!!! WBL without his driver for 21 DAYS!!! That would be like Lindsay Lohan without a drink in her hand. Like Michelle Wie without an excuse. Like Keith Richards without a tree to fall out of.

Unthinkable.

It will show up eventually. Mangled beyond recognition and with postmarks on it from the post office in Ninety-Six, SC. :D

:biglol: That is why you have spares.

So if/when you get the insurance money, what driver are you going to Ho next?

"Anna" at the USPS replied again to my second nasty reply. Is this some automated, robotic answering thing the PO has come up with?

This is not an acceptable answer. Don't you people "care" about this sort
of thing? I will NEVER use the USPS to ship any package ever again and I
will make sure I relate this incidence in forums all over the internet so
that others don't make this mistake.
I've sent two packages to Canada, USPS
and both boxes were destroyed. Luckily the contents weren't. I received
two boxes from Canada and both cartons were destroyed. Luckily the contents
were also undamaged. LUCKILY. This package was sent to my brother who
WORKS for the USPS. He can not believe your answer. His statement was
"another satisfied customer".

Watch out, warbirdlover. You do not want to get the full wrath of the USPS hurled at you!

Remember, these people go postal!!

sssmokin got it this morning. Package didn't have a scratch on it! Only took 7 days for priority mail. Good thing they don't have any competition (that's better then they are)... Probably the Milwaukee PO employee that ripped it off couldn't hit it and repackaged and sent it on after. :)

So if/when you get the insurance money, what driver are you going to Ho next?

ualtim

You know I actually did sit down and try to figure this out and decided there is not a driver out there I really want instead of my 905R. REALLY!! :D

Nah, I've got the R5 Dual TP to use until I get it back... :D

I gave them so much hell for that when they told me to I had to wait to file on priority, and it had been 2 weeks.

They all suck, but for me FedEx has been the least sucky.
