Didn't someone on the PGA tour put up a 11 or 13 a little bit ago? It can happen to anyone at any time.

Aye, but this is an extra 10 shots, man !! The few holes following that is equally as hard to believe..
I don't doubt the veracity of the man's story. But I agree that there is no reason to ever score 21 on a hole unless playing a medal play tournament. I always stop at 8, since that is the max score I can use for handicapping.
Scoring 21 on a hole doesn't teach you anything, although it does make for a story to be told.
I think you're being a bit presumptuous here Andy. It's easy to shoot a high number followed by a couple of great holes. A score of 21 sounds a bit outrageous, I agree, but it's not out of the question.
I usually hit my ball deep into woods on the 9th stroke, new ProV or no, if it's not down in 8 I don't ever want to see it again.
I think I played out an 11 on a par 5 after hitting 2 balls OB earlier in the year. I suppose I could have gone higher but I usually hit my ball deep into woods on the 9th stroke, new ProV or no, if it's not down in 8 I don't ever want to see it again.
I do a similar deal but I will pitch it into the water. After I carded a 9 on a par 5 the other day I used my Vokey & hit a perfect shot into the water to get rid of that ball. It's almost as if it was mocking me since I couldn't hit the thing that damn good when going for the cup.
Hmmm, let's analyze this. The ball is on one end of the stick, the golfer is on the other end. Could it be possible that you are blaming the wrong end?

I won't take anything more than a 9. If I haven't holed out by then I'm in my pocket. I've had 9 twice this year - both were actually worse had I bothered to hole out.
