Does a gift of a club constitute ho-ing? Is it more of a mini ho as opposed to a full blown ho?

Ho'ing is a two-part process. First you have to "get it". The cheaper you can "get it", the better. Then you have to dump it in favor of "new talent".

Otherwise, you're just a FOOL like me who never turns the merchandise over.

That is still Ho'ing. Its just a different faction called Ho'n'stow. :D I believe Eracer and I are some of the more prolific Ho'n'stows on ST. NSherman would have us beat, combined, if he was still active. :D

Being gifted a club is not technically a Ho. You found someone else to do the dirty work for you. Its probably closer to being a pimp.

Well just call me Pimp Daddy! lol

I would not presume to consider myself in your league, Tim. However, I am honored by the thought. I think...

Ho-n-stow would describe me, I don't get rid of clubs I no longer use. I am keeping them & will cut a few of them down so my grandson can use them.

i dont know about being a club ho but when i first joined this forum i was all callaway. now the only thing in my bag that is callaway is a divot tool. so i just got the SC putter from wirehair and it had the SC divot tool so thats gone as well. GOOD TIMES GOOD TIMES :)

I don't know, we will have to count clubs someday. :D

Ah, another member in Wi-Golfer. You get too attached to the clubs, too?

Thats what we call Ho in training. You've only turned your bag over once. Once the disease takes over more of your body, you will get up to speed. :D

I tried to quit last year.......lasted almost 4 months then came back with a vengence.

A friend of mine is a ho-n-stow as well. He has an ft3 tour, 2 r7 425s, a cobra x speed, a titleist d1, a 983E head, a 905S, a 975J, an r7 ht, an r5, a ping g5, and maybe more. Actually, the r5 and g5 were traded away, but he has everything else.

Yep, I don't need the small amount of $$ I may get from reselling the clubs so I hang onto them. A few I have thrown around my office area here at home as decorations. Others are just evil clubs which don't have any good shots left in them & I couldn't in good conscience pawn them off on unsuspecting others.

I have sold a few of them, but only to people I know who are looking for cheaper price on a good club. The others, well, its very hard to part with something I have built or worked on that has produced good shots. I know that there are more left in it....

I've "outfitted" just about every guy in our league with my drivers. They line up every week to see if I've got one for sale since I lose my ass on them so badly and they're all name brand clubs in like new shape. :(

So you're a "ho'lanthropist"

I'm not sure what I'd be called, ho'fool maybe? I get new clubs and let my sons con me out of the old ones, with which they whip my butt with on a consistant basis. I had a putter riding around in the back of my truck I was trying to sell, then my youngest son saw it. He called me last night to tell me he couldn't miss with the Evil Flat stick I couldn't have sunk a putt into a basketball sized hole with. Great, now he can beat me by 10 strokes now.:(
