Handicap Goals 2010

I just want to play....the weather here on the weekends has been down right crappy. I am content with my bag and played most of last year in the 10 handy range. I would like to move that down some this season.....but at this point i just want to hit a ball.

Try and practice more than I play. Get down to a solid 4 from last years handicap of 7. My other goal is to not buy anymore golf clubs this year. I'm sticking with last years setup, except for a new ball. My last goal is to play more rounds ( 139 ) then last year.

I'm looking to get down to 5.0 or below. I had it at a 6.0 during the middle of the summer. I quit working out and exercising and my game went downhill. This year I'm going to be conscious of that and get my cap back down!

looking for a even 90, at high 90s to even 100 now, should be able to do that this year i hope?

Five or lower. Last year I seemed to hit a brick wall at 7.

It is Feb. 21 and I just want to play! My first goal of 2010 will be getting the course up, open and ready for play. Second, same as every year, I'll be hitting 2010's first tee shot off #1. Even if the course isn't open yet.

As for real goals in 2010, I would like to play more than last year, if that's possible. I'd like to play at least one round at all 18 courses the company owns. I'd like to get my handicap into single digits. Most importantly I want to enjoy every round I play!!

OH!! I got my first hole-in-one last year, maybe sneak another one in 2010??

I'm a teacher, so every summer for the last 3 years I have done nothing but spend time at the range and play at least two rounds a week.

Although the budget may make it once a week this summer, I would like to break 80 this summer. But really that may not be obtainable (spelling?). I just barely got in the 80's this past summer.

So.....My goal is gonna be shoot around 85 this summer and try and break 80. Other than that, less fat shots for my irons and wedges......My HC is a 17...so maybe get it to a 13 or better?

Any tips on how to do it? LOL

I'm a teacher,

But really that may not be obtainable (spelling?).

LOL, this concerns me ever so slightly. Correct spelling by the way but probably should be 'attainable' if you really want to get technical. C'mon mate. :)

Just messin' with ya T, good luck with it and if you wanna drop shots ive got three pieces of advice for ya:
1. Work on your short game.
2. Work on your short game.
3. Work on your short game.

You'll come down.

OK firstly I'm with LeftyH here. Up until 2 years ago, I couldn't give a crap about the short game. I took lessons, and spent 80% of my range time working on 50 yards and in, around the green, bunkers etc, and I dropped 8 shots in a year, and a further 2 the year after.

My goal this year is to make 4.0 from 8.0. It's a big ask, but by keeping fit and practising, I think I can get there... Here's to hoping!
