Good point - I carry 12, thereby dodging the cursed #. Sometimes I want to leave my putter at home, sometimes I want to leave it in the bottom of a water hazard.

I might keep it in the bag, got a national championship next week for the government I "work" for. I think it's like the National transportation board. We manage road and railways (I'm in the railway section.
Training round wednesday, singles thursday and greensome friday. And beer all the time...

I have been considering a change the past couple weeks however. Like some, my 3w sees limited play, although I do use it when needed. It seemingly takes up room in my bag. That being said my 5w (which is actually a 2i hybrid) is 17* and my 3w is 15*... Kinda thinking I could merge them into one club??

Or, find a Big Bertha 3-wood that has 3 different lofts available. You can have a strong 3... a standard 3... or a weak 3/strong 4 wood, whichever suits your game!!!

I still can't get over how long I was missing out not having decent fairway woods in the bag.

My 4 wood and 2 hybrid have different purposes.

The 2 hybrid is low spinning, long and great for cutting through the wind. But it's not for attacking a green because with its lower trajectory it probably wouldn't hold.

The 4 wood is long with a higher trajectory. Nice soft landings.

That was a thought too. Possibilities are endless, or seem it anyway. Then I remember I'm a leftie... Search just got a little bit tougher!

I'd only look for that if I were looking to replace driver.

For me, my 3 longest clubs all serve different purposes.
