It is really frustrating when all your playing mates praise your drive and then look away and get very quiet when you duff the second shot.

And for me, that's all too common, my friend.

So with 3 terrible drives I still hit all 3 greens. I missed every putt though and parred all 3.

this is just to go with your par 5s story. one day i hit slice driver into the trees but i had an opening to hit hybrid so i sliced that into the rough about 115 yards short of the green but like i said in the rough. so i hit gap wedge... no lie 2 feet from hole birdie! and thats just to justify the old addage about hitting so many shots and needing only one beautiful one to make up the difference. im such a hack...lol
