DOGB - review

Well, my shipment arrived today, and I am pleased to say that the balls sent to me by DOGB (1 doz ProV1 and 1 doz HX Blue) are of excellent quality. No player's markings, no scuffs, no discoloration. Of the 24, I'd say about 18 look brand new, and 6 look like they've been hit, but I'd still put them in play on the 1st hole.

I played with another one of the freebies Sunday.

I used an HX Tour ball and it's still my all-time favorite. I had forgotten how long these balls are. Either that or I was swinging better than usual. On our 135 par 3 I always use an 8 iron but ended up flying the green by about 10 yds. It wasn't as noticable on less than perfect strikes but when you hit these on the sweet spot they go a long way.

The blacks are really good around the greens too. I know some don't like the durabilty but I don't find it to be a problem excect when I bounce one off a road or a cart path but that's a different problem.

The quality of the ball was just as good. No real indication it wasn't new.

Think I'm gonna try one of the Nike's if we play later today. We had some Canadian air move in and it may only hit 60F today. Brrrrrrrrr.
