Surprisingly the thread outlived the GM. It is too bad. I thought he did a great job. From last overall to the Conference Final in three years is impressive.
Happy for the new GM, Stan Bowman. He is a great "friend" too (and a really good player, shot 72 at St. Andrews the day after the Open Championship a few summers ago). Last time that I was in Chicago, I played with Dale and Stan and another scout at Conway Farms.
Funny aside about Stan. I played in the Ontario Amateur in the late '80s. Played my practice rounds with Mike Weir and Dave Morland (Nationwide Tour player), Stan was my caddy. There was some people destined for greatness in that group, and I wasn't one of them.
