Not sure if this is the right forum since I'm new to this but ....

I run a tournament every year. 30 - 40 players. I have created my own excel spreadsheet for scoring and prizes. The biggest time suck at the end of the round is entering the scores hole by hole for each player.

I'm looking for a mobile application (BB, iphone, droid, etc.) that will allow each player or team to enter their score onto their smartphone and then automatically upload that into my excel spreadsheet.

Anybody heard of such a thing?

Thanks.

Can't say that I have. Maybe someone else has though.

I haven't heard of one personally, but I'm playing in a tourny this weekend, I'll check with the director and see if he has heard of one.

You don't really need an App for that - they could create a comma delimited text that you could easily use DTS to import into excel. Or you could host a webserver with the a form that could be filled out - they log in and enter data and do an http post - sends the data to excel. I can think of several workarounds if you can't find an app

Good stuff. Thanks for responding. Ideally I'd like to replicate a scorecard on the mobile device and then send over to excel. Your second option seems to fit that model. How would I host a webserver for a mobile app that replicates a scorecard and how to enable the http post to excel? Sorry to ask so many questions but i'm not that technical! Thanks.

You would pay me 250 per hour to develop it, and it would cost you about 5 grand.

Thanks for the advice but I can get this done for $16 in Bangalore... ;)
