I have been in a betting pool with three other guys for ten years. We usually do our picks on the Wednesday before the tournament but we had to do ours last night because one of them is going skiing today.

FWIW - these are my teams...

North Carolina
Kentucky
Villanova
NC State
Delaware St
Syracuse
Utah
Niagra
West Virginia
UCLA
La-Lafayette
Pacific
SE Louisiana
Arizona
Penn
Texas

I'm taking Michigan.

That Chris Webber is due.

(I obviously don't watch NCAA basketball.....lol.)

I'll go out on a limb and say that Lousiville will win.

The Illini. This "Big Ten is down this year" excuse is BS. They're the most talented and poised team in the league this year and will run the table against Carolina in the finals.

I'd love to have them.

Unfortunately I was picking 2nd.

Ahhh. Now I get it. I was wondering what your list was supposed to represent.

Lemme take a look. Well, Carolina's no slouch. I know a bunch of national writers who are picking them to win it all. Kentucky could certainly do some damage too.

Are those the teams you have to win a championship, or is it a point system for each game played? I've never played in a pool this way. Seems kinda cool.

OK - as with our golf bets, it has multiple angles.

1) The Overall Championship. For every win you get in round one - you get one point. Round two victories are worth two points. There are six rounds in the tournament so you get the drift. The overall champion is the guy with the most points at the end.

2) Final Four Rewards. For each team you have in the Final Four - you get $$.

3) National Champion. If you pick the champ, you get $$.

We've done this for years and its a blast.

The czar of our golf group put brackets on top of his locker for us to pick up and fill in. Similar deal to this group, but you pick every game of the entire tournament - not just your best 16 teams...

March Madness!!

West Virginia! ! !

I have your team....tell me about them. Are they getting hot for a blazing tourney run??

Take the Tar Heels. That Laetner is lighting it up!

I'll take North Carolina to win. Put me down for 5 dollars. Canadian.

Go Texas Tech. Oh wait, did they get in. :p

yea tech got in, but i think they're going to win then in the 2nd round get blasted by some tiny school

Well I did pretty well this afternoon.

I won with Pacific and Utah and I even picked Wisconsin-Milwaukee against Alabama - and won.

I had no confidence in the Tide. (sniff) This helps a bit.

I still like the Heels to win it all...

The Bama game was the only one I lost today. Not bad for a guy just guessing his ass off.....

I picked Illinois to play UConn in the finals.....i'm such an idiot...

I don't know why you are down on Illinois and UConn. The illini almost finished undefeated and UConn was the hottest team in the country in the last three weeks....

Bama looked like somebody on blood transfusions the last three weeks.

When we were sitting around doing our picks, 2 six seeds were selected before them.

Our coach is young and has much to learn. he is a decent recruiter though.

I should kick myself for not suggesting an ST NCAA Pool. It would be a blast....

We bet $40 a player within our group of four guys so you can win a decent dinner if your picks are the best...

I also picked Pitt to beat Pacific. That was a weak call by me, and a first round upset that wasn't gonna happen.

A friend of mine at work and I are betting lunch on the best finish for our picks.

He picked BC to lose. What a dope.

Maybe we'll go to RL for lunch....
