Scored again at Play It Again Sports today! 4-E Hogan Apex Edge in REALLY good shape. The ding on the 8i is the only scar except for a little bag chatter.

I used to play with a former college golfer who taught me a lot and those were the "new" irons he just got. Boy could he play them babies good.

Went old school/new school on eBay this week.

Found a set of Eye 2+ wedges (PW, SW, LW) and snapped them up to go with my 3-PW set I am restoring.

After finding some success with my 430 cc Viper Ti4 down in Florida, I pulled the trigger on a 2017 TaylorMade M1 440 cc driver. The best thing about TM releasing so many drivers is that you can get great deals a few years down the line. We’ll see how it goes once I get it modified to my specs (first thing to go will be that silly 1.5 inches of extra shaft length).

    Sun Mountain C130 (2016) ‘merica.

Drunk eBaying the other night.....TaylorMade M3 440, 10*. Too good a deal to pass up for a new in plastic, headcover, wrench, certified retailer etc. M1 will go to Florida bag, M3 will stay in Texas.

I scored a forged set of TM TP MC irons (3-PW) with S300 shafts and new GP MC grips in mint condition. They are probably 6-7 years old, but the price was so good I couldn't let them pass up. I think the 3 and 4 irons were never even hit as the dude used hybrids. I played a few holes with them last night. Probably not as powerful or forgiving as my SLDRs but the feel of the forged was amazing. I pured a 5 iron on a long par three into a breeze to about 5 feet, it was like on a rope, the flight and feel was just amazing. I just giggled to myself. But I noticed that the shorter irons were not as strong, maybe 10 yards or 1/2 club shy of what I am used to. I'll play them a few more times but not yet sure if I'll game them or just move them through. I hit a few 3 irons from the tee for shits and giggles, man that was fun.

Yip just checked, the SLDR lofts are 1-2 degrees stronger across the set

Got the band together, most of the new purchases in one place. M1 was apparently mislabeled and Callaway preowned contacted me before shipping. Decided to go with it as the shaft is what drew me to this M1 as well as being listed by Callaway Preowned as they are great to deal with. Have the M3 440 enroute anyway to try the smaller head. Eye 2+ 3-PW is joined by a PW-LW Eye 2+ wedge set in the Sun Mountain C130 cart bag.

Still have some reshafting work ahead of me, but I am getting closer to having the set ready to play.

I am going to play again.

My father in law took me a few times to the Masters and he loved golf.

In 2009, he bought tickets just for him and me.

I had a putting mat for indoors, but I wanted to practice chipping. I thought a small rug from a discount store would work but I didn’t have enough leeway on such a narrow 10x3 foot green. So, I bought a 10 x 5 foot one.

I also just traded in some old clubs for newer used clubs today.

But I still love my Bullseye putter despite having a collection of different putters.

I love the bullseye because I have great feel with it.
