“Forced” to buy a Laser DMD

Rangefinders are great unless you can't see the pin. That's why I have a Skycaddie.

Most of the time, I'm so far off the fairway I'm supposed to be on that the GPS just displays 'Where the fvck are you?'

That's why I have a laser :D

I think a GPS that would actually rib the user for poor shots would sell.

Would be easy to do on a phone app...hacking the dedicated GPS's would be more difficult

Back in the olden days before GPS and rangefinders I used a little simple rangefinder that you looked through and fit the pin between a straight line and a curved line and read the yardage below. Worked good unless the pin length wasn't standard. And that happened alot. :(

I used nothing yesterday but course markers. Since I only had 3 irons in the bag (6, 8, W), I figured exact yardages weren't helpful. It was an old school minimalist golf round, and frankly, I didn't notice the difference.

Daughter gives me a subscription to Golf Magazine for my birthday every year. She gets various items for the renewal. Last year she handed me a "rangefinder" that she got in the mail from 'Golf Magazine'. It's one of those that you fit the pin between two lines and supposedly read the distance you're from it. About as accurate as me with my glaucoma trying to guess it.
