Project X 5.5 question

Found this thread again! I'm still kicking around the idea of reshafting my i3's with Project X 5.5's. I went out to the garage today (its warm, in the upper 30's) and took an old I3 3i to see how hard it would be to pull the shaft. It took a bit more heat but I got it eventually. There was an audible "pop" when it came free and a stronger epoxy smell than I am used to but it seems possible to reshaft these guys.

I like the JZ's but have been wanting to try Project X's....what to do what to do!

I really expected it to be more difficult to pull the shaft from everything I have heard.

Did you have to clean up the hosels of scorch marks or anything like that? Blue away maybe?

I think torch marks are sexy
