So unfair. You just pulled a media twist on me. And used it to turn me into Sol! That may not be forgiveable.

The only thing you might gain with new irons has nothing to do with technology, it's just they've (again) gave them stronger lofts and you might get more distance. But what good is that? If I now hit my 5-iron 160 yards and a new one will go 170 what have I really gained as long as I know how far they go?

Buy new irons and give me a good deal on your old ones.

There really isn't much difference between clubs six years old than ones released last week. Other than the already mentioned stronger lofts. But the club manufacturers keep shoving new models down our throats, feeding our natural ho'ing tendencies. God love them for that!!
