Where did you play today?

Love the old school 9 hole layouts. Do you have two tee boxes for each hole to make a Scottish 18?
Interestingly enough I played our home course today with the pro. He and I played the very from ladies tees on the front nine, then played the tips on the back nine, almost 800 yards longer. Played well too!

Playing at my ex local course today.
Weather couldn't be better!

On Monday, me and two buds are playing at Belmont Golf Course in Richmond. It was formerly known as Hermitage CC and was the site of the 1949 PGA Championship, won by Slammin' Sammy Snead. It is now an Henrico County Park - old school cc style course with small greens and lots of hills. It's $22 to walk on weekdays, so I'm packing the PING Moonlite bag with 7 clubs and hoofing it. Stand by for pics and lies!

Shot 46/39 - didn't get anything going until #8. It was hot (95) and humid, but nobody wilted. I used my cold wrap chamois and drank lots of fluids. Gonna rest tomorrow. A few photos here - one of Mr. Snead and his family after winning the 1949 PGA Championship here. Nice little all bermuda muni - $22 to walk! Carried the PING Moonlite with driver, 7W, 5H, 7i, 9i, UW, putter.

Looks nice papaD. You know I am a sucker for an old school CC layout.

Headed off to my favorite place to play, the private course across town from me, Mount Pleasant. It's our home course for High School. Better kept and just a better course than my membership. Good thing is that on less busy days, they let us high school players go out even if we aren't members, the pro there is a real class act. Here are some photos I took last year;
