I joined Shot Talk in 2006. Have been known for a few short and concise posts since.

Was working out on the road, staying in hotels. Shot Talk gave me some golf addiction relief on bored evenings. Amazing how many hours of my life has been wasted on here!!!!!!!

2007 is my join year, and I was green as could be in the golf game. The only real experience I had with golf was when I found my Grandpa's golf clubs in my garage one day and took them out in the back yard and hit wiffle balls around with them and got yelled at for digging up the yard.

2006 I met the woman who is now my wife, and her Father was a pretty good golfer. He gave me a set of his old clubs and a bag and I spent almost every spare hour of my life at the driving range or watching YouTube video's on how to get rid of my horrific slice. I wish I had video of my swing back then...it had to be so over the top I'm surprised I didn't hit my left leg with the club after hitting the ball.

In 2004 I had just become a dad for the 2nd time. That child has grown into a pretty damn good golfer. I still stink up the game.

2004 was getting ready to relocate due to my job shutting down, good times.

Joined ST in 2005 and have become legendary here. I lived with my current wife for 25 years and my youngest daughter had just graduated from high school. Worked for the same company I retired from so other then where I've lived life hasn't changed much. I'm now playing the best golf of my life thanks to retirement. Back then, even after 35 years I sucked.

In 2004 (August) I was conferring with Rockford35 about creating a site that wasn't as mismanaged as the forum we were on at the time...the name escapes me.

Rock's GF at the time whom I believe is now his wife, came up with the name. She called us shot talkers for some reason and VIOLA!

Although my participation here essentially ended with the sale of the site I am beyond thrilled to see it still has life!

I came here from the other nameless site. Who remembers "montagle" and his friend, whose name escapes me now, from that site? Funny dude, but messed up. Even by ShotTalk standards that dude was messed up.
