I'm no pro......but when I bought my Adams a3 IDEA Hybrids they threw in a Staff Bag. Same one all the pros carry, the white, red and black one.

So when I go to get my clubs they are in the bag, I look around the bag and what do you know. They embroidered my name into the bag.

It's kinda cool. I like it. No one would hopefully steal it. The clubs are all custom fitted.

Adams is really a kick arse company.

What are your thoughts or do any of you have your name on your bag?

If they are going to do it, why not?

I hav emy name on my bag, but that kind of goes with the staff deals. Kind of stinks that I can't give away any of my old staff bags. Bridgestone even put it on my stand bag which is kind of interesting.

I have my name on my school bag. Pretty cool having a bag with your name on it imo.

Feels cooler that I earned it:)

everything he does is "cooler"

Here's a not so subtle dig. Ask him who won when he played against me, a guy old enough to be his dad.

My dad, who's 70 years old, routinely outdrives me and beats me on the course. Pisses me off to no end (actually, I'm quite proud of the guy...)

I'm not sure I like the idea of having my name on the bag. Many times while I am on the course there are times where I really do not want people to remember who I am. Makes it much more difficult to overcome their low expectations when they say "Oh, I remember this guy, he's the hacker that has his name on the bag and hits it 30 yards deep in the woods"

Have visions of guys calling me on the phone telling me I don't belong on the course. Anonymity is sometimes a good thing.

Agreed. Same reason I use headcovers. I don't want people saying "WTF is that hacker doing playing with those sticks?"

Reminds me of the time the pro at my old course got me four dozen Titleists with my name on them. Did him a favour (Canadian spelling) and he thanked me with the balls. Nice idea. Very generous.

The problem was, when I lose a ball, I really lose a ball. Big-time offline.
It became a joke among the members about a) where they would find my lost balls and b) to play one of my balls, when playing with me.

Those things hung around forever. Won't every do that again,

This reminds me of a kid back in high school who rigged his license plate to "flip" at the touch of a button under his dash...

He did alot of "illegal activities" and believed that if the cops never got his plate, they would never get him...and as far as i know, they never did...
