OK, I worked out I have played about 25 different courses in US over the last 20 years. 15 of those were on golfing vacations, 2 were while caddying and the rest were picked up on business trips / travelling.

Here's my top 8 list

Shinne**** Hills, NY
The Country Club, Brookline, MA
National Golf Links of America, NY
The International (Pines), MA
PGA National Kings North at Myrtle Beach, SC
Marsh Harbour, SC
Charles River, MA
The Course at Yale, CT

Not had the chance to play a lot of "big boy" courses over the years. A few good ones I remember are...

1. Pine Meadow, Mundelien, IL
2. Geneva National, Lake Geneva, WI
3. Loch Lloyd, Belton, MO
4. Colbet Hills, Manhattan, KS
5. Eagle Knoll, Jeff City, MO
6. Weston Hills CC, Weston, FL
7. Custer Hill, Ft. Riley, KS (The old RTJ design.)

Did have the chance to play in an event in Florida... I believe they called it a "Cougar Tournament"... where topless and otherwise scantily clad young ladies greeted you on the tee boxes and greens. Can't remember where it was... what I shot... whether or not I returned home with the same clubs I arrived with... or, for that matter, how I got back to the hotel!

Beyond those, I'd have to fill in with courses like...
Sheepherder's Strokin' and Driving Range
Hit 'em High Heifer Estates
Rooster Landing Golf and Egg Emporium
Goats, Gals, Golf, and Good Eats Paradise

I don't get far from home......

Good topic.

4. Edgewood Tahoe
5. Pradera (CO)
6. Fossil Trace (CO)
7. Wolf Creek (NV)
8. Hidden Valley CC (UT)
9. Rio Secco, Reflection Bay, TPC Vegas (all in vegas)
10. Sunbrook
