Jiminez is a cool dude!

Jimenez has the right to ask about the ruling to protect the field in stroke play and himself in match play. Bradley's caddy mocked Jimenez's accent which elicited the shut up comment. The caddy is in the wrong here.

He didn't need to protect himself with the ruling, because a rules official was already talking to KB. Those officials word goes, even if they get the ruling wrong, if it isn't the players fault, the player will not be penalized. Therefor Jimenez had no business worrying about the ruling. And from Jimenez's side of the story, he was trying to tell Bradley what the correct ruling was.

That's how I understood it too, but only watched the replay once.

The player has the right to have the ruling explained to him and discuss it with the rules official and other player. That is what Jimenez was doing when Bradley's caddy decided to be an asshat.

But he doesn't have a rift to tell the player what the ruling is, which he said that he was infact doing.

That's not what happened. Bradley had already discussed it with the rules official and the drop was made. Jiminez then came over from 30 yards away and stated that they were doing it wrong. Bradley and Hale tried to explain the ruling by the official and Jiminez told Hale to shut up. Jiminez was within his right to find out what was going on, but not in the manner he chose to do so. Jiminez was in the wrong here.

Jimenez saw the ball not roll two club lengths and then get placed. He was not aware it was rolling into an area that was not playable. He went over to see what was going on. His English is not he best, so he was repeating himself when Hale mocked his accent. Hale is in the wrong here. That's what started the incident.

Jimenez has every right to get the ruling explained to him, especially when it appeared to go against the rules of golf from his vantage point. If Hale doesn't open his trap, there is no incident.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.
