Im a newbie and shot my first par the other day. It was a 210 shot off the whites on a par 3 with my 3 iron then a chip and a putt par feels so damn good.

I got my first birdie on the very first par 3 I ever played. A fluke for sure, it was a couple of years before I got the next one.

Pars are different though. Now that you have broken the ice it won't be long before you get the next and soon you'll be counting how many pars you got in a round.

When that putt went in... that feeling RIGHT THEN.... it is what keeps you coming back round after round after round. The pursuit or that feeling allows you to put up with this horrifically difficult game.
