Earlier this year I built a set of mp-14's according to an uber-secret fitting scheme. I liked the short irons, but not more than my current mp-30's. I didn't hit the long irons as well as my current set, so I stuck with the 30's.
I tossed them all back in the bag for my last 3 rounds or so to see if anything was different; recently made a slight change in my backswing and I've been hitting a lot of good iron shots. The 14's have been great! Good shots have been closer than with the 30's, and mishits no worse. Better in fact - I think I'm finally getting used to the set. The 4 iron has been great too; I didn't build the 3 iron, fearing I would never hit it.
Hope the 30's don't get too jealous.
