welcome aboard.i think you`ll like it here.

Welcome to the forums. I live in Wisconsin, but have lots of relatives in Mississippi......Blackhawk, Greenwood, and Carrollton (spelling), and Jackson. As kids we'd go one year to Mississippi (Indianola) and the next year all my relation would come up here. I have many fond memories of your State.:)

Hi Amos....I live in Birmingham.

I think you are our first poster from Mississippi...welcome aboard!!

I see you are from Ocean Springs...how did your home survive the storm?? How close are you to the waterfront?

Hello Bravo- have you played the Robert Trent jones Trail? ( silly question I bet)
Katrina left us with just a slab, absolutely nothing left on my Lot.Pre-Katrina my home was in Pascagoula,MS just two cities east of Ocean Springs. I have been through every hurricane Since Fredrick (85) and I haven't seen such destruction.

Alot of courses have come back such as Tom fazio < fallen oak> Beau Rivage Casino's.

Bravo- I also have family in pelham..

Yeah Amos...I've played several and if you stay around here (and learn to navigate the site a bit) you will see some pix I have posted...

I cannot imagine what it is like to "see a slab" where your home once stood. It is unfathomable to me.

We have quite a few 'refugees' here from Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian, Ocean Springs (and of course New Orleans) as well as other towns in your area who have similar stories. Many have settled into new lives by transferring to different offices of the same company they worked for down there.

From what I have heard, if your property was south of US 90 and the railroad bed, you lost it all.

I hope you can hang around here and have some fun with our group...its a lot of fun and I have learned a lot from many people across the world...

welcome to the boards amos. not sure how close it is to you, but i'll probably be going down to pascagoula in january of next year for temporary duty.
