Marine Corps Marathon

Tomorrow, October 28th, the boy is running the MCM in DC. He's Army, not Marines, but has been bitten by the marathon bug. Strange kid. Loves to jump out of perfectly good airplanes and run 26 mile races. That's the thing he's missed most during his stint at the Pentagon... jumping. He has already signed up for his next duty station, after the Pentagon, which will be with an Artic Airborne Unit stationed at Ft. Richardson, Alaska. Before his Pentagon assignment, he was with the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg.
Cannot understand anyone who gets a thrill out of running for 4 hours... straight. Sheesh!!!!

I bet his decisions to jump out of airplanes and run long distances both coincided with reading a 3 hour email you sent him.

Very cool that he's heading to Alaska...once in a lifetime opportunity IMHO! Sounds like a son to be very, very proud of limp!!
