Need a new LCD for home

So my 15 inch CRT for my home PC finally died after 5 years of service. I don't know how I ever got by with that thing considering at work I have a 19 inch LCD.

I am going to replace it with a 19 inch LCD, I just don't know whether or not to purchase a widescreen or a regular format screen. I obviously won't be watching any movies on this thing, I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on what I should be looking for.

I've been looking at newegg.com and it appears that I can get either an acer or a viewsonic (wide or standard) for about $200 which seems pretty cheap.

Any input appreciated.

Vt, I'd probably go wide. I couldn't have hinted at anything more blatant than wanting a widescreen but gf got me a reg 19" for Christmas. I'm not complaing, it's great and I love it - but wide would have been nice.

As to which models - the Dells are supposed to be some of the most top notch, my friend has a 24" wide from Dell and it's smoking. I wanted the 20.

As it is, I have a BenQ FP91G+ - this thing is great. Super clear picture, NO artifacting, everything is good about it - except that it's not wide.
