Work on timing at the range. I don't see a problem lifting the heel to get more hip turn. Especially if you keep a good rhythm throughout the swing and you're not doing it with the intention of killing the ball

I'm big enough and old enough to know that this game will always win, I'll be squirting it into the woods in no time. But what I'm impressed with is the extra turn and tension that I can generate with this. The 'snap' is a way to get me to drive my hips trough the ball a bit quicker. I've always had decent rhythm so as Chris says it's down to timing.
