Favre is ruining his reputation

We still love Jordan?

Its a loose comparison, but even after his Wizards debacle, we still love him.

Favre has already backed of his basic statement of having not spoken with the Lions, now he admits he did but Millen called him. Supposedly he has called numerous other teams also, just what is his frickin problem???????

I think it would be hilarious if the Packers didn't retire his number & basically told him to piss off.

Dream on, Mr. Favre Hater.:shark:

Don't hate the man, just his actions. I believe it's morally reprehensible to contact other teams in an attempt to tear your old team down.

Yeah, it's like a VP of a research company getting fired, then going to another company and telling them about their vacation schedule.:biglol:

Whether he was effective or not in his attempt isn't important, it's the fact that he tried.

You don't think that any player who gets traded from one team to another gives his new team information about the old one? Granted, he gave info to the Lions, not the Jets, but what's the difference, really?

It may be distasteful, but it's not exactly news.

Difference is it's Favre, face of the Packers. This guy was the #1 fan favorite & he is basically crapping on every single Packer fan now. I don't know why he didn't take the high road & has to play this asinine game of his where he will be the loser.

Because he IS a loser, Wi. His actions have already proven this.

PHENOMENAL talent, but still a loser.

You guys would call a WWII Medal of Honor winner a loser if you saw him buying Depends at the local Winn-Dixie.

Football.

It's...a...business.

I've gone beyond romanticizing the game. Join me, my brothers. Join me in the light.

You are simply willing to give Favre a pass on anything negative he does. Good football player, absolutely. Good decision making off the field, not so much.

The NFL is full of players who beat their wifes and girlfriends, have fathered illegitimite children all over the country, deal drugs and guns, establish dog-fighting enterprises, invest in pornography, and generally act like thuggish asswipes.

Why do you feel the need to put so much emphasis on a man whose only real "crime" is that he decided not to play for the Packers this year?

And I think they are all asswipes as well, christ if I were to make a list of every pos athlete, it would take all day & probably fill 4 pages here.

True enough. Why do we idolize these guys?

It is far more than a business when people (kids and adults both) idolize the players.

Look at Favre's behaivor...would you respect me if I taught William to act like he has? Whether it's right or wrong, and whether they want it or not, they become role models in ways no businessman can because of the "idol" status. So, they're bad behaivor becomes worse than the same thing done by me, for example.

I wish it was just a business, and I wish it wasn't romanticized. That is not reality, unfortunately.
