What is your golf goal for this season?

Get down to a + figure.
Win at least 3 tourneys.
Win Club championship
(loftiest one>>) Qualify for the Optimist World Jr. Championships (just have to win the qualifying tourney for my age group on my home course to do so).

shoot in the 70's.......almost there...if icould get rid of the 3 and 4 putts

My only goal is to continue to improve my game like I did last year. I started the difficult trip back down the handicap ladder from 18 to 14.9, and I just want to continue to improve. Ideally I'd like to get back to the 10 that I once was, but I don't know if that is ever going to happen.

That is my goal... how I make it happen is something else. I've already started by improving my play off the tee, I just need to keep spending time on the range and on the course, and good things will happen. :)

1: average 250 yards off the tee. :biglol:
2: make at least 2 birdies per round.
3: win my flight in at least 1 tourney.
4: learn to hit my 3 iron.

Change that to:

Find a hybrid you like (have you even tried the Baffler with the Nippon steel shaft yet?)

My goal - improve my short game. Everything else will flow from that. I'm just now starting to feel that my short game practice is beginning to help. 30 to 50 yard pitches are at least getting on the green most of the time. I'm only stubbing one or two chips per round, instead of 90% of them. If I can get up and down 50% of the time from 100 yards, I'll be in the low 80's, which is where I think I should be.

Work it down to Scratch.

To get to single figures and stop three putting all the time.

Of course to do that would involve me practicing my putting. Hmmmm.

Hit more GIR's. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 55-60%. If I can do that, I'll be well on my way to a low single digit handicap.

I'd like to get rid of the R at the end of my handicap.

Drop from a 16R to a legitimate 14.5.

Teach my son the rules and proper etiquette of the course.

1) Work on my greenside sandshots..........distances.
2) Stay out of trees and trouble...........hit more fairways
3) Hit consistently in high 70s

what does the R at the end of a handicap mean?

My goals for this year are twofold:

1. To continue to improve all areas of my game by practicing smart. Short game is the number one priority as always followed by hitting more greens in regulation.

2. To soundly trounce my friend Bob every time we play. I am going to Chesapeake this weekend to hopefully kick his ass one more time.

This season, I hope to break 90 consistenly. To date, I've only done it once. In term sof what area I need to focus on to reach this goal is putting, definitely need to sick more putts.

Get down to a 7 H/C - shoot 70 (par) at least once, and most important learn how to putt consistently.

Overall, my goal is to get under 95 by the end of the summer, and under 90 for the year.
More specifically...
1. Average under 38 puts
2. improve my pitching and chipping
3. improve my swing tempo and consistency
4. learn to use that behemoth of a driver.

if I cant accomplish most of these...,then Ill just switch to right handed and start all over.
