WI outing summer 09

The Bull! $50 for me as I still qualify for the junior rates!

I echo zaphod's prioties exactly. Except any day of the week is fine for me.

Zaphod's priorities pretty much echo mine except for the travel. I'd like to keep it to 2 hours give or take a few travel time. My main interest is getting to meet people and have fun so the course doesn't even have to be that great although a nice course never hurts. $60 w/cart sounds fantastic.

I've mentioned this one before. Washington County Golf Course. Great track. Should be about $60 in the Spring I think. It's located just north of the City of Hartford on Highway 83.

I promise nobody would be disappointed.

Golf Hartford, Wisconsin - Washington County Golf Course - Wisconsin's Premier Public Golf Course, Outings, Lessons

That being said, ever since WIGolfer played Old Hickory in Beaver Dam last summer, that one has been in my mind. I have wanted to play that course for 20-25 years, and have never made it out there for some reason.

Another good one is Fire Ridge in Grafton. That might run a little more dough ray me.

I've heard a lot of good things about Hawk's View in Lake Geneva. Lake Arrowhead rocks but it's been some time for me. I'm also fond of The Springs in Spring Green, which I believe is now called House on the Rock Resort.

Oops, forgot to mention Rainbow Springs in Mukwonago. That is a really interesting challenging course and I think it can be played for about $30 which includes a cart. I believe this is the last season as the State has purchased the grounds and is going to turn it into a nature preserve. The place has a really cool history, and has some fantastic holes. The conditions won't be optimal, but it's a fun place. It has a special spot in my heart, as I played there hundreds of times in my teens and twenties. Lots of water. Bring your cheap golf balls and try to hit it over the creek/pond on "The Monster". LOL. Bring your bug spray, too.

The Bull would be great, east side of the state & even for those of us in the middle it's maybe a 90 minute trip at worst.

I checked out that Washington county course Kevin mentioned last year, it's a nice place.

Like I said before, any course & anywhere is fine with me.

Hawk's View is big bucks I think... :)

Should we go back to a scramble? Team scores versus exposing our individual faults? :)

Can F.I.B. that really wishes he lived in WI get in on this?

Certainly! The more the merrier. :)

I'd prefer $50 or less. I play alot on a links type course so like some trees and elevation changes. And like zaphod, good greens are the big kicker. I can go almost anywhere. Otherwise will go along with the majority on this. :)

Jer, myself & Zaphod absolutley must take you to Wildrock this fall when the rates are low. Plenty of trees, some absolutely incredible & stunning elevation changes, etc.

I can pretty much promise you after playing here, you will hate all the Racine & Milwaukee area courses.

AGREED on this one----Same for the Lakes course at Arrowhead. A real pleasure at twilight rates.

Anyone play Erin Glen not Erin Hills near Janesville I believe? Got a good review in the State Journal.

A F.I.B. that rocks a Green Bay logo is more than welcome. I, like Jer, will follow the pack as long as the price is reasonable. I golf the same place Jer does so I will echo the sentiment... i'd love to have some dramatic elevation changes & such. I would give suggestions, but i've never really golfed outside my area with the exception of Nagawaukee or whatever it's called. I thought that place was pretty cool.

Trappers Turn is another nice course with some decent elevation changes on a number of holes. Once again it's a fall rate deal, I think I paid $40 or so to play as much as I wanted, they have 27 holes & of course I played them all.

This year I will be at the Milwauke and Green Bay golf shows...maybe we can set something up at one of those places around then sa well?

Those are more in Springtime...maybe we can do both???

We're usually still waiting for grass to show around the time of the Milwaukee Show. What company are you with? I'll be down there wandering around one of the days.
