Ping Peeps

Be a ho................it's fun. Remember, it's not you, it's your clubs. ;)

JK - go back and read all of your posts on your Mizzy's - you'll remember why you love them. Ho-ing around doesn't help your game, it just drains your wallet. I need to stop ho-ing and focus on playing better, but alas..................maybe in 2016?
You are all probably right. I do love the Mizzys and I hit them well.

I may just reshaft and regrip them. I love the joint forgiveness the graphite shafts give me but miss the overall accuracy, or perceived accuracy, I had with steel.

We'll see.

I'm using steel again with no tendinitis issues. I have been taking care of that muscle group with stretching and I am playing 4 times/week without any pain. The extra weight helps my tempo and I think I have been striking it better which helps reduce shock to the hands/arms.

I was a project X disciple for years before I got the Mizzys. I'd really, really, really like Steelfiber shafts but that's quite an expense.

There are soooooooooooo many options in steel and graphite it makes my head spin. I honestly think I can't tell the diff in score - only feel and flight. These Tru Temper Feather Flight I have now feel and fly great (soft). I think they have a real soft tip, based on feel and shot height.

Here's what I found recently:

Premium steel iron shaft. The True Temper Feather Flight iron shaft is 20 percent lighter than traditional steel iron shafts helping to generate higher swing speeds for greater distance. The unique patented step design produces a rising ball flight and spin rate that will check even the hardest greens. If you are looking for the playability a lightweight iron shaft but are not ready for graphite, try the True Temper Feather Flight in your next set of irons.

# This is a Finest Quality True Temper Shaft, meaning that every one has passed an 8 step inspection process to insure a consistent set of clubs from iron to iron. Available in L, A, R, F and S flexes
Flex Weight (g.) Bend Point SwingSpeed Max Length Addition
R Flex 110 Mid 68 to 75 mph 1.5 inches
Firm Flex 110 Mid 75 to 84 mph 1.5 inches
S Flex 110 Mid 84 to 90 mph 1.5 inches
A Flex 100 Mid 60 to 68 mph 1.5 inches
L Flex 100 Low < 60 mph 1.5 inches

Looked up the cost of the Steelfibers...$400+. I've been wanting to try the No1 grips as well and the are $12+ per grip. THAT project would be $650+. Holy f#cking sh!t batman!!!

Project X flighted are less than $200.

I bought my PING K15 fw woods used, and they came with No1 grips. They are worth $12. I might do the rest of my clubs in them (one day).

Folks rave about Nippon shafts, but they neve wok for me!

I believe the Mizzys are .370 parallel tip. Will be confirming today. The Nippon Modus are only .355 TT and I don't want to shim.

The Steelfibers are off the table (I think). So that leaves the Project X vs the Nippon NS Pro's.

Any honest views on the Nippons? I used to game the PX's and know them well.
