Limp- Sweet Looking Course
Thanks! I joined this club in 1985. Left in 1990 as we moved to another community. Back "home" in 1999 and been a member since. During the past 15 +/- years, we've lost over 600 trees due to storms and blight. Seeing the current photos, you can imagine how tight it once was.
The course is actually in excellent condition even though we have had next to no rain and extremely hot temps. Our Greens Superintendent has done a remarkable job. Our greens, right now, are pristine.
Annual playing dues are right at $600 for unlimited golf. When I played right at 200 rounds last year, that nets down to pretty inexpensive golf.
All those trees.... Being over 70 and drinking lots of early morning coffee has us on a first name basis with many of them!!!

The Bastards held at the Verrado Victory course. A fairly new Tom Lehman design.

Looking back down 18 from the clubhouse waiting on a weather delay.

The 18th tee. That rock on the other side of the water in line with my ball is a 250 yard carry. I blew it 30 past it dead center.

One or two rather large stones on that track!

Nice shot!

I lived in Colorado Springs for a few years and all I remember is sunshine and drought.. I guess it rained at least once.

Irony; a place called Springs undergoing drought.

Four or five years ago a windstorm took down one of our large Cottonwood trees. The tree was right at the corner of the dogleg on #10.

The tree was cut down to a stump and has been that way since.

Not a good picture but you can see the stump out there near the dogleg.
We recently contracted a retired couple who do chainsaw wood carving to turn the stump into something we could be proud of. They completed it yesterday.
