Hogan's heros....floundering...

They bought Hogan to get some patents and ideas for forged players clubs. That's basically it. Unfornutantely, they vouldn't have done like Titleist/Cobra and kept ne company for GI, and another for PI

They'd be smart if they came out with a "Callaway Hogan blade" iron (or something like that). The Hogan name still carries a lot of weight in marketing.

Not as much as Callaway, unfortunately.

Go to your local shop and ask them about sponsorship for a tournament. Callaway gives fantastic incentives, so good it's impossible to to turn it down. Just try and go to a tournament that doesn't have Callaway or Odyssey as a sponsor these days.

Hogan will hang on with their irons, which is what they're noted for.

When Callaway bought Hogan, I thought they would use the name to get into the "Playa" market with Titleist & Mizuno. It seems to me that with the Hogan reputation & Cally marketing they'd have something. Then they rolled out clubs (BH-5) that compete with themselves. Go figger?
