That's probably about correct. Kosher coarse. Steaks can take a lot of salt. Most of it falls off anyway and it facilitates that wonderful crust.Need E-pinions on the holy ratio of salt to pepper for steaks on the grill. Right now I am told it is 3 parts salt, 1 part Pepper.

Not according to every major chef I've ever watched cook steak.I don't salt it until it's done cooking. I've heard, and this is probably just an urban legend, but salting meat pre-grill makes it tougher.
